Salvatore Ferragamo Hosts A Mid-Winter Soiree In San Francisco

(SAN FRANCISCO) Far from the dreamy vineyards and olive trees of Florence, a glamorous eve was pieced together by Salvatore Ferragamo. The iconic Italian brand hosted the Mid-Winter Gala at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco on Saturday night, and drew a crowd of chic attendees to boot. What was the cause for a West Coast celebration? The luxe label was celebrating its 100 years ago, by throwing a gala to benefit the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco. The guests of the eve (who were mostly decked out in black tie Ferragamo garb) included Camilla Belle, Lauren Remington Platt, Leigh Lezark, Georden Nicol, Kelly Sawyer, Dita Von Teese, Chloe Malle, Lily Kwong, Lisa Love, Jessica Hart, and Liz Goldwyn.

With so much to honor, the eve had a decidedly Old Hollywood feel and the building’s marble arches and pillars served as a fitting background. What is Leigh Lezark’s fave feature of that era? “The hairstyles of Old Hollywood! I even had my hair done in a finder wave for this year’s amfAR gala,” she explained. As for the chic leather goods, Ferragamo debuted a limited edition handbag and two new shoes, which will only be found in their San Francisco boutique, and will benefit the art museums as well. Quite a nice pairing, non?
