Vanity Fair and 60 Minutes Make A Fashion Statement

by The Daily Front Row

Oh, America! What are we going to do about you? Vanity Fair and 60 Minutes teamed up to poll Americans about fashion, and the results are pretty fascinating. When asked, ‘Who is André Leon Talley?’, only 9 percent of those polled knew he was with an astounding 72 percent answering they don’t know. Meanwhile, 3 percent of those polled answered that he was a famous lion tamer. Some of the other results were more promising, with 64 percent answering that low-hanging jeans are the fashion they would most like to see die, along with fake glasses, Uggs, harem pants, and clogs following. As for the most feared fashion critic around? Closer to home than you might expect: 32 percent answered their significant other, with Joan Rivers coming in second at 27 percent among those polled. The poll was conducted on behalf of CBS News by Social Science Research Solutions in Pennsylvania, among a random sample of 1,016 adults nationwide, interviewed by telephone in December 2013. Check out the rest of the results at VanityFair.com
