Rag & Bone Spring 2016

by The Daily Front Row

The 90’s raver meets hip-hop trend is becoming a thing for the downtown minded designers this season. Rag & Bone took it really downtown by ferrying everyone over to St. Ann’s warehouse in Dumbo at 9 PM last night. However, the majority of the crowd opted for car services. The location, however, did not stop the likes of Anna Wintour, Grace Coddington, et. al to make it to the far flung location. There’s always one big show in Brooklyn these days, anyway.

As for the clothes, they were a sophisticated take on the 90’s fervor with sleek looking below-the-calf shift dresses in cotton bouclé, cut-out dresses, mesh, cargo pants, and sateen parkas. As for the accessories? Big hoop earrings, leather sandals, and highly covetable high tops for the type of woman that can pull that off. A leather slip dress will be a must-have staple and a cotton twill jumpsuit will be a subtly statement making live-in piece. All of these marched out to an original soundtrack by Radiohead’s Thom Yorke. There was plenty to love here for Rag & Bone’s cool girl clientele.
