Tory Burch Spring 2016

by Kristen Heinzinger

In true fashion week tradition, Tory Burch showed her spring/summer 2016 collection at Lincoln Center, this season creating a beachy and whimsical vibe on the runway. Like with her fall collection, it seems she pulled inspiration from a Moroccan aesthetic (and perhaps she spent some extra time at her new Parisian flagship store). Her classic textured prints and woven layers in reds, blues, oranges, and white made an appearance, but this season tassels were everywhere—on bags and rope belts—and fringe lined a handful of skirts and dresses (even the sleeves). Mods walked down a faux slate runway, some sporting seriously gilded heels and sandals that were to die for. Along with the uber eye-catching footwear, they also wore incredible statement necklaces. What’s more: a heavy dose of shimmer popped up in textured sweaters and floor-length dresses. We definitely got the impression she found influence from beyond the East Coast. We want to know, where did Tory travel his summer? Please take us there!
