Milk Studios Launches Makeup Line with Zanna Roberts Rassi

by Kristen Heinzinger

Milk Studios, MADE Fashion Week mainstay, just entered the beauty arena with the debut of Milk Makeup, which mixes inspiration from the studio’s downtown neighborhood and Debbie Harry’s CBGB days. “Her effortless, punk kind of glamour felt very Milk Girl to me. It’s not about how perfectly you apply your eyeliner. It’s about your lifestyle, and electricity as a person,” said creative director Georgie Greville, who conceptualized the line with E! News correspondent and former beauty editor Zanna Roberts Rassi.

Other collaborators include Milk Studios co-founder (and husband of Zanna) Mazdack Rassi, product developer and CEO Dianna Ruth, and makeup artist Frank B., who regularly works his editorial magic for Elle, Interview, Vogue, Porter, Harper’s Bazaar, W, Maiyet, and Milly. The 85-piece collection (prices range from $12 to $48) comprises on-the-go items, including lip stains, mascara that’s pigmented with charcoal and sapphire dust, eye markers, waterproof lash stain, and shadow liners, which are vegan and free of parabens. Colors come in fun names that stick to themes, like job type (Working Girl, Model/DJ, VP Moonlighter) or beer (Pale Ale, Pilsner, and Dark Brew).

Find all the pieces on milkmakeup.com when it launches February 8.
