Michael Kors is forever the optimist, and thank heavens for that. A swinging ’60s undercurrent ran through Michael Kors Collection, with brightly hued trenches and double-breasted coats rounding out an intensely covetable group of outerwear whose utility will extend far beyond spring. Betty Draper (circa Mad Men’s first few seasons) would feel totally à l’aise in the retro floral dresses and the punchy pink overcoat, but in Kors’ ultra-now silhouettes, they’re fully modern. Wooden-soled lace-up platforms, new-shape aviators, cross-body bags, and frilly clutches dominated the killer accessories offerings. We’re starting to become dependent on Michael Kors’ positive vibes—not like that’s a problem!
