Montauk turned pink on Saturday when philanthropists Larry and Toby Milstein and Justin Mikita kicked off the first-ever Millennial Pink Party at new hotspot Breakers MTK. The invite-only event welcomed 150 influencers—think emerging leaders and entrepreneurs across fashion, finance, the arts, tech, and media, all to benefit the Human Rights Campaign, the leading advocacy organization fighting on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community. “We created the event with our generation’s style in mind, every step along the way from the aesthetic to the cause to the food, decor, and sponsors including Jars by Dani, VieVité, Bumble, Tito’s, Funboy, BFA and more,” said Toby. The party featured both familiar and fresh faces, making for a fun afternoon of mingling and networking with a Hamptons twist. Guests, including Samantha Angelo, Andrew Warren, Reya Benitez, and Charlotte and Sophie Bickley, drank rosé, nibbled on bites by Seamore’s and mini cake-jars by Jars by Dani, and took photos at the photo booth, all while wearing their most millennial shades of pink. DJ Rosé [Nicole Rosé Stillings] was on tune-duty for the day, playing summer’s hautest hits.
“The goal of the Millennial Pink Party was to engage members of our generation in the Hamptons, many of whom feel passionate about issues of equality, and to find a natural entry point for them to show support in a sexy and social setting,” said Larry. “The outpouring of interest in the first Millennial Pink Party far exceeded our expectations, but demonstrates the unique way millennial leaders are engaging with philanthropy: combining leading-edge activism with good, old-fashioned fun.”
At the end of the day, guests went home with goodie bags provided by The Coveteur that were filled with pink merch, from a baseball cap with hearts to hair products and much more. This is where the cool kids were this weekend, for sure!
