Karl Lagerfeld Takes Chanel Métiers d’Art Show to Rome

by Ashley Baker

Roman holiday! (We couldn’t help ourselves.) Karl Lagerfeld trotted off to Rome for his annual Métiers d’Art extravaganza, and sure enough, he turned Italy’s storied Cinecitta, founded by Mussolini in 1937, into a fashion show venue. Charmingly, he recreated a Parisian street scene, where models like Binx Walton, Lara Stone, Sam Rollinson, and Charlotte Free streamed from the subways and showed off epic wares like tweedy jackets (évidemment) and camera-shaped bags. In the front row: Kristen Stewart, a face of the brand, and Rooney Mara.

Oui, that’s Audrey Marnay in the petal-pink pants.

The tunic trend is officially on.
