Jose Cuervo Collaborates with Carlos Campos

by Sydney Sadick

In honor of Jose Cuervo’s 222-year anniversary (yep, you read right!), Mexico’s oldest commercial tequila company has joined forces with fashion designer Carlos Campos for a limited-edition capsule collection. Each piece fuses artwork that was created specifically for the limited edition 222 bottle series designed by Spanish artist Ricardo Cavolo, as well as past Campos designs, to tell the story of key periods in Cuervo’s history. The lineup? A T-shirt, sweatshirt, and tote bag, three pieces that “are in everyone’s closet,” Campos told us. “And who doesn’t want to walk around with Ricardo’s incredible artwork on these great staple pieces?” The collaboration marks Campos’ first time working with an alcohol brand. “There have been talks in the past, but we knew this was the right time. We were originally approached by Cuervo’s team, and who could say no? That plus the fact that we have been fans of Cavolo’s artwork for some time made the decision to join this great team a no brainer.”
