Dynamic Duos Front The Kooples Fall 2016 Campaign

by Sydney Sadick

French contemporary brand The Kooples has introduced creative duos–as well as couples–as the faces of its new Fall/Winter 2016 ad campaign. Raphael Elicha, director of image and co-founder of the brand, photographed the range of images while Melanie Ward was on styling duty. The collection showcases the brand’s new direction of celebrating what it means to be a modern-day duo, featuring pairs from industries ranging from art to design to music.

“For Fall Winter 2016, we’ve paired couples with creative duos to intensify the unifying force of being together whether it be siblings, partners or couples,” says Elicha. “We’re excited to see this concept come to life and present our collection in a new way to our customers.” The lineup? Twin sister model-duo Amalie and Cecilie Moosgaard from Copenhagen, sisters Miranda and Elektra of the band Say Lou Lou and founders of the collective Art Comes First Sam Lambert and Shaka Maidoh. On the couple front? All mods, like Sung Jin Park and Gabi Moon, who recently got engaged after two years of dating, in addition to Chloe and Will Chalker, who’ve been married since 2014.
