A Name Change For Magic Men’s

by Eddie Roche

Magic Men’s will be getting a bit of a makeover this summer: The trade show will be renamed ‘THE COLLECTIVE’, and the show will still hit Las Vegas’ Mandalay Bay Convention Center, neighboring Project, on August 17 to 19th. “By reframing our traditional and young men’s business as THE COLLECTIVE, we intend to round out our classic men’s market and make MAGIC the go-to for what’s happening in the menswear industry,” Tommy Fazio, president of men’s for UBM ADVANSTAR, said in a statement. Brands such as U.S. Polo Assn., Realtree and London Fog will be returning.

THE COLLECTIVE will also bring back their 2015 Booth Awards, comprised of a panel of experts from the retail, consulting and trend forecasting spheres, to celebrate the best booths in the categories of Traditional Men’s, Young Men’s and Licensing. THE COLLECTIVE will be bi-annual with the other event held in February of each year. Does this mean Magic is being named the THE COLLECTIVE? Nope. The name Magic will still be doing tricks at the shows.
