Rihanna Presents Fenty In Paris
Last night, Rihanna hosted a party to celebrate the debut of Fenty and the opening of the line’s ephemeral boutique. Some heavy hitters in the fashion industry came out to support her, including designers like Maria Grazia Chiuri, Olivier Rousteing, and Simon Porte Jacquemus; photographers Paolo Roversi and Peter Lindberg; and models Paloma Elsesser and Adesuwa Aighewi, among others. Jay Fielden Exits Hearst
Jay Fielden, editor-in-chief of Esquire and editorial director of Town & Country, has left Hearst. According to WWD the exit is a mutual decision between Fielden and Hearst. His successor has yet to be announced, but Fielden took to Instagram this morning to make the announcement and reflect briefly on his time at the publication. He also teased that he is working on a book, the first few chapters of which he’s already written? A tell-all about his time at Hearst, perhaps? Here’s hoping!
The Love Ball III Announces Celebrity Judges
Dita von Teese, Andre Leon Talley, Marc Jacobs and Char Defrancesco, David and Phillipe Blond, David LaChapelle, Janet Mock, and Teyana Taylor are among the many judges of this year’s Love Ball. Meanwhile, Billy Porter will act as the Master of Ceremonies. Members from the Ballroom community, celebrities, and nightlife icons will compete in six categories for one-of-a-kind trophies designed by some of today’s most notable contemporary artists. The event, put on by the CFDA and Susanne Bartsch, raises money for the CFDA-Vogue Initiative/New York City AIDS Fund of The New York Community Trust. David Yurman Given an Honorary Doctorate From FIT
Yesterday, the Fashion Institute of Technology held its commencement ceremony at Radio City Music Hall. Jewelry designer David Yurman not only delivered a commencement address, he also received the degree of Honorary Doctor of Fine Arts from the school. Recently, Yurman donated a selection of special gemstones, pearls, and beads from his personal collection to FIT. The donation was meant to enhance the learning experience of FIT’s jewelry design students.

Leah + Rae Hosts Charity Event at Jane’s Carousel
Over 100 mothers and children came out to celebrate Leah + Rae’s Charity event at Jane’s Carousel last weekend. Hosted by founder and designer Brittany Peltz, the afternoon supported The Alexandra Cohen Hospital for Women and Newborns, a new state-of-the-art hospital for pre- and post-natal care in Manhattan New York.
