Nanette Lepore Spring 2015

Nanette Lepore is clearly in a cheery mood for Spring. Look one proved this point, thanks to a sweet yellow frock featuring big pockets and a collar erred the line between saccharine and slightly sensual, with a deep neckline. That bright hue was peppered throughout, appearing on a silk paisley short and leather platform heels with coordinating fringe detailing. Pink and stripes were also spotted throughout the collection, which featured easy layering with striped sundresses, a few swimwear options, and a spate of culottes. The mood of the collection was certainly youthful, a notion reflected by Lepore’s 16-year-old daughter, Violet Lepore‘s runway debut. After she closed the show in a black breezy tunic with white embroidery, the whole cast of models took to the stage, smiling, and dancing. Sometimes it’s nice to have a reminder that fashion can be happy, non?
