After the 26th annual GLAAD Awards last night, the black tie/sequined celeb crowd hit Pretty Ugly, Drew Elliot and Erich Conrad‘s wildly popular weekly dance party at Diamond Horseshoe in the Paramount Hotel. Kelly Ripa (who won the GLAAD Excellence in Media Award) and Mark Consuelos held court in a booth with Andy Cohen and Anderson Cooper, who introduced his pal Ripa at GLAAD. Nearby, Jason Wu and Phillip Lim had their own reserved table, and across the crowded dance floor, Amanda Lepore, donning blue lace, sat surrounded by club kids wearing Jeremy Scott‘s Moschino designs and fawning fans. Also spotted: Marcus Teo, Alexa Rodulfo, style icon Hari Nef, Pieter Henket and Roger Innis, Rob Shmalo, Lacoste’s Austin Smedstad, and Chris Constable, to name a few. The DJ, Tommy Hotpants, is all about fast beats with lots of vintage disco. The scene is young and très gay, and the joint doesn’t jump to life until way after midnight. How divinely decadent! “It’s old-school New York nightlife, reborn at the crossroads of the world, Times Square,” Drew explained to me. Oh, and to skip the eager masses at the velvet ropes, you need a special GIF that gets you right past the front door instantly. It’s like the Willy Wonka golden ticket of nightlife: hard to find, but worth the score.
