Marie Claire’s new pop-up title, Branché, debuted today, doled out gratis in targeted areas of NYC. Alexa Chung is splashed across the 40-page mag’s matte cover. Remember the @CondeElevator Twitter account? Those were the days! Today, the identity of the woman behind it all has been revealed and it’s Sally Singer. Just kidding. As a warm escape from the winter chill, Ann Taylor’s Summer 2014 collection took editors on a trip from Times Square to Capri last eve. The looks in the preview were apropos for a summer sail: breezy white skirts, nautical knits, a pale pink dress, and sailor-approved jackets. Combined with anchoring accessories, like heavy gold chains, a bold black belt, and whimsical clutches, Ann Taylor’s creative director, Lisa Axelson, proved her staying power in the execution of chic-approved work wear. She also filled your Daily in on her dream jaunt (it’s not as exotic as one might expect!) and her chaussures of choice for tackling the snowy streets.
