Conde Nast International’s chairman and chief Jonathan Newhouse has come out in support of John Galliano, telling Vogue UK that they’ve developed a tight friendship since that little incident a few years ago. “After he left Christian Dior and went into recovery from his illness, our relationship deepened and became a friendship,” he explains.

John Galliano’s got another new gig. His latest role? Teacher. The designer is set to teach a masterclass series at Parsons entitled, “Show Me Emotion!” The class will be taught to the design school’s seniors in the bachelor of fine arts program. The four-day course will include three days in the design studio with Galliano, which will be followed by a critique and Q&A with the dean of fashion, Simon Collins.

In the midst of his super secretive gig with Oscar de la Renta, John Galliano exited a Paris courtoom today with another small victory towards his road to redemption. The news? The French Labor Relations Court ruled that they were qualified to hear the designer’s side of the story, which is bound to come out in his $15 million lawsuit against his former employer Christian Dior and namesake label John Galliano. This is just the first step in what will undoubtedly be a long battle. Galliano’s lawyer, Chantal Giraud-Gaver, said it could take years due to a back-up of cases at the court.
