Remember a month or two ago when we were able to praise what Lupita Nyong’o was wearing everyday? Ah, memories. We’re still in withdrawal, so how lovely for the Oscar winner to throw us a bone and go out and about last night. Nyong’o attended the Marie Claire and Maybelline New York “Fresh Faces” party at Soho House in Los Angeles last night, and wore this Giambattista Valli Haute Couture dress with floral embroideries from their Fall 2013 collection. She appears in Marie Claire’s May issue and tells them that she knows she’s had quite a year. “It was phenomenal,” Nyong’o says.

Today, Town & Country added to its creative team, with the hire of Milanese stylist Nicoletta Santoro as creative director-at-large. The news comes on the heels of Alex Gonzalez’s appointment as executive artistic director in September (a second gig for Gonzalez, who also serves as artistic director at Marie Claire).

Ten months after joining Vince as creative director, Doo-Ri Chung is parting ways with the contemporary line. Effective tomorrow, Chung’s resignation is also a farewell to Los Angeles, where she’s been based for her Vince stint. Instead of a successor for Chung, Vince president Karin Gregersen is tacking on the freshly-minted title of chief creative officer.

Jimmy Choo unveiled their Cruise 2014 ad campaign set to debut in December issues, starring Kidman who this time around sports Brigitte Bardot-inspired long blond locks instead of the saucy ginger bob from the Fall 2013 campaign.
