You can always count on Tom Ford for some juicy and dishy quotes when he sits down with a journalist. WWD’s Bridget Foley caught up with Tom to talk about his recent Fall 2013 collection, how he feels about Virginie Mouzat, and what he thought of François-Henri Pinault’s recent words about him. Here are a few choice soundbites from their conversation. Goes without saying, but we heart you, Mr. Ford.

This beats the LIE any day! Calvin Klein, Inc. brought the Hamptons to West 39th Street for a special presentation of the Fall 2013 men’s and women’s lines for editors, stylists and bloggers earlier today. Models posed in tableaus of tall wheat stalks and white sand, reminiscent of a winter sunset in the Hamptons. (Details, details, details!)

In the latest issue of Style.com’s magazine, Christopher Kane and his sister Tammy (who’s also the brand’s creative director) return to their old high school in Motherwell, Scotland, for a Fall 2013 photoshoot shot by Alasdair McLellan. On location, the pair open up about signing with Kering, formerly known as PPR. “We would have survived, but would we have survived as people without the investment?” said Tammy. “I don’t have a life! That inhibits creativity. It is such a big step forward.” Later in the article, Christopher Kane admits he hasn’t had a “sleepless night since signing the deal.” It’s nice to be taken ker of.

The buzz is at full blast regarding Hedi Slimane’s creative choix at Saint Laurent. In his latest move, the designer enlisted Courtney Love to front the brand’s music meets fashion campaign, which will also feature fellow rockers like Marilyn Manson, Kim Gordon, and Ariel Pink. It’s only natural that he would enlist Love as she was the assumed inspiration behind his grunge heavy Fall 2013 collection. She even applauded him post-show by tweeting: “Having gasms at the idea of rich ladies buying what we used to wear, finally someone got the look exact, no beanies.”

How is Yoana Baraschi celebrating her tenth anniversary? The designer has created Illusiory Contours, a captivating video showing off her Fall 2013 collection to a bewitching tune by Dani Siciliano. For this collection she looked at the construction of armor and corsets and noticed a resemblance to the anatomy of the cicadas – the elegant, strong, and yet fragile insects. She was attracted by the beautiful armor against the ether-like luminescence of colors on their wings. See how it all turned out in the Gallery we’ve put together of her collection, but first come under the Illusiory Countours spell where the kaleidoscope images give you double the Barashi. No complaints here.

Last night Alfred Dunhill hosted a dapper dinner for their Fall 2013 preview to a group of select menswear editors at The Down Town Association, Manhattan’s oldest private men’s club in the Financial District. Menswear editors like Bruce Pask of T, David Farber of WSJ., Tasha Green of Departures, Miguel Enamorado of Interview, Brian Boye and Sandra Nygaard of Men’s Health, and Madeline Weeks of GQ to name a few were presented the new collection of three-piece suits, from a chic wine colored velvet tux and luxurious midnight blue tuxedos to casual cable-knit roll neck sweaters. Later guests dined over pressed duck terrine, seared sea trout, and toffee pudding from Whitehall Bar & Kitchen prepared by Aussie-born, British-inspired chef Chris Rendell on a candlelit table that spanned the length of the room and kept guests cozy next to the grand fireplace. The 153-year-old elegant club was the perfect setting for the 119-year-old British brand. It was the club’s first time hosting a fashion event, and we suspect, certainly not the last.
