Rosie Assoulin Spring/Summer 2018

The highlight of Rosie Assoulin’s collection for Spring were the ancient Roman cameos that comprised the print on several of her looks. She used hand-sourced cameos as buttons as well, but the prints were developed from photographs of individual cameos that were printed on silk. Thoughtful and unique! No doubt those will make for great conversation pieces. Next up was the exquisite lace paneled gown that looked so delicate and lovely it should be framed. The plaid pieces were standouts as well particularly in a floor length skirt version featuring a multi-colored mashup of the pattern. And it wouldn’t be Rosie Assoulin with out some exaggerated shapes, the ruffles on that lemon yellow silk taffeta gown will be a lust worthy item for the gala going set.
