(NEW YORK) Barbie’s dreamhouse is getting all dolled up! Roksanda Ilincic has partnered with Nick Knight‘s SHOWstudio to reimagine the doll’s digs into a dreamy $25 million house in Malibu. Unfortunately, real life Barbies will have to dream on, because this dollhouse will only exist virtually. Mattel created a fictitious listing for the faux property with real estate company Trulia. In brief: the pink palace clocks in at three floors and 8,500 square feet.
It’s not the first time Ilincic has made over Barbie; for the doll’s 50th anniversary, the designer whipped up an updated, edgy look that included a black pencil skirt covered in bows and paired with a cinch-waist aubergine sculptural jacket. But how did she develop her structural prowess before doing up Barbie’s abode? Ilincic studied architecture at Belgrade University before attending Central Saint Martins; she even helped design her own London home. Ilincic knows how to play around, non?
