Tomas Maier has joined forces with book publisher Phaidon to launch a pop-up bookstore at the Tomas Maier Bleecker Street store. The Tomas Maier x Phaidon “Bookstore,” which is now officially open to the public, features a dedicated display area of the publisher’s works. The titles were all curated by Maier himself, who picked a range of chic reads on the topics of architecture and design. The collection also includes the recently-published monograph on late designer Ward Bennett as well as John Pawson’s brand new exploration of color “Spectrum” in addition to other classics including books on Marcel Breuer, Mies van der Rohe and more. “Books have always been part of the Tomas Maier universe,” Maier said in a statement. “I am happy to have an additional presence in the men’s Bleecker Street store.”
