(NEW YORK) Nina Garcia will follow in Diane von Furstenberg‘s footsteps as the next fashion industry vet to don Google Glass for a fresh perspective on NYFW in September. Furstenberg famously wore the glasses on her own catwalk last September (along with her models), giving a glimpse of what it’s like to look out into the audience as they strutted down the runway for her show finale. Now, Marie Claire‘s creative director will give the masses a glimpse of seeing the shows from the front row (literally).
Garcia will be tweeting to her 821,930 followers and Instagram-ing to more than 56,000. The catch? The glasses only last for a charge of up to one or two hours, which won’t do the trick for a 12-hour long day running around to the shows, dinners, and after-parties. Perhaps a lucky intern will get to follow Garcia around with a charger?
