Maxim vice president and publisher Kevin Martinez has left the publication, Keith J. Kelly reports in the New York Post today. “We agree with Kevin that the right decision was to move on,” Maxim told Kelly in a statement. Martinez came from Details as the men’s pub looked to rebrand with Kate Lanphear coming from the T: The New York Times Magazine to bring more of a fashion-focus, which didn’t register with readers. Lanphear left the magazine seven months after her first issue hit newsstands. Kelly reports the redesign did bring in more ad pages and revenues increased, largely from ads, to $17,750,00, but newsstand sales were down. Martinez’s last day was January 29.
