Carissa’s Breads lovers, rejoice—the talented baker Carissa Waechter has opened her own bakery off Newtown Lane in East Hampton. In addition to her loaves, which are made from local starters and cultures, she’s selling pies, cakes, pastries, and jams.

A new Mykonos-inspired restaurant Calissa (that’s not a typo!) has signed a long-term lease in the Water Mill space most famously occupied by Trata. Its managing partner, James Mallios, is best-known for Il Cantinori and Periyali in Manhattan.

Harbor East is opening on Three Mile Harbor Road in East Hampton and will be serving up farm-to-table fare—and dancing, of course.

Lulu Kitchen & Bar, a new project from the owners of Duryea’s Lobster Deck and Arbor in Montauk, has opened in Sag Harbor as a year-round destination. Chef Philippe Corbet is making magic happen with a wood-fired oven and grill. Daily pal Marc Rozic reports: “The ‘local catch’ salads are amazing—they go to local farms every day and create daily salads based on what’s available. My friend says the eggs and ratatouille is phenomenal.” Thanks, Marc!
