Tommy Hilfiger and Zendaya to Show In New York
Tommy Hilfiger and Zendaya will present their second TommyXZendaya collection at the Apollo Theater in Harlem this September. Their first collection together for Spring 2019 was a highlight of Paris Fashion Week. Based on the Battle of Versailles, the show was an ode to the ’70s, disco, and was among the most diverse runways of the season. Details on the latest collection are limited, but it apparently “takes cue from these strong and confident women, reimagining era-defining power dressing with a bold modern edge.”
This also marks the first time Hilfiger has presented a TOMMYNOW show in New York since launching the see-now, buy-now business model in 2016. “I’m excited to return to where our “See Now, Buy Now” journey started,” he says. “Zendaya’s desire to bring TOMMYNOW to Harlem felt like an amazing next step in expressing her vision for the future. Her statement-making point of view in everything she does is what makes her such an inspiring collaborator — it is honor to continue to provide her with a platform in the fashion industry to share this.”
