Christie’s is preparing to auction off a former Voguette’s belongings. According to a press release on Christie’s website, the auction house has acquired a private collection of antique paintings, furniture, Maiolica ceramics, and sculptures owned by “one of Europe’s most accomplished former fashion editors,” who’s worked at Vogue Italy, Vogue France, and Harper’s Bazaar Italy.

Is that a model on the cover of Harper’s Bazaar or are our allergies making us loopy? Legendary mod Christy Turlington is indeed on the cover of Bazaar’s June/July issue shot by Daniel Jackson. This is an encouraging sign after Vogue put model Kate Upton on the cover of their June issue last week. P.S. Enjoy this issue a little more because the next one isn’t out until August.

Jack Dorsey shared a slew of anecdotes on Wednesday about founding Twitter, Square, and an intriguing set of extracurricular interests (some of the fashion variety) with Harper’s Bazaar editor Laura Brown at a Hearst Masterclass afternoon chat. We won’t attempt to cram Dorsey’s most delicious morsels into 140 characters, but here are a few takeaways worth sharing! Some are fresh, some bode interesting enough for a retelling, and all in all, the quippy banter between the interviewer and interviewee made for a parfait lunch break. Just imagine what life would be like if Dorsey had gone into denim production or very niche massage therapy in lieu of inventing the grand Twittersphere.

Daniel Jackson shot Gwyneth Paltrow for the May issue of Harper’s Bazaar. Someone is clearly a fave at the Hearst Tower with her last appearance on their redesign issue in March of 2012. Interesting to note that Carine Roitfeld gets major billing in the coverline with her “New Collections” feature. Middle America meet Carine. Carine meet Middle America.

InStyle has found a successor for erstwhile style director Samira Nasr: the glossy is welcoming Melissa Rubini, formerly fashion director at Bullett and a longtime stylist. Rubini, a Brazilian-bred Parson’s grad, headed up the fashion department at Bullett starting in April 2012. Since 2005, Rubini has styled for Prada, spanning the gamut over the past eight years from women’s and men’s RTW to accouterment, specs, and fragrance campaigns for the brand, plus videos to accompany the brand’s RTW ad campaigns. Additional freelance styling gigs under Rubini’s belt include a diverse glut of glossies such as Vogue, Teen Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue Homme, Vogue Japan, Interview, Numero, and i-D.

Ferrara comes to MC with a strong track record as a freelance fashion ed, plus a history at another Hearst glossy, Harper’s Bazaar. Circa Liz Tilberis’ era helming Bazaar, Ferrera served as fashion editor at the title. Styling credits for the mag’s new editor-at-large include Vogue, Teen Vogue, InStyle, and erstwhile Conde title, Jane.
