Laure Hériard Dubreuil’s LHD Goes Live Today

Laure Hériard Dubreuil‘s namesake collection LHD has debuts today. The retailer and merchandiser-turned-designer has brought her incredible taste and sense of color and fun to a collection that is ubiquitous in her popular boutique The Webster, which just opened a New York outpost earlier this month. The new collection primarily consists of cotton and silk skirts and dresses as well as a few cashmere sweaters. Several tops, rompers, and jumpsuits round out the offering. LHD also features special collaborations with Pierre Hardy, Aurelie Bidermann, and Eres.

“My background is merchandising, so I’ve been working on collections before,” Dubreuil told The Daily. “I’m much more of a merchandiser than a retailer. I always had it inside me. When my husband came and saw the collection he said, ‘Ok, this is basically your closet.’ So it felt very natural. I know what I want, and I also know what our clients want.”

The logo for the collection was created by M/M Paris and features a graphic that resembles wild eyes. “They designed it this way because I have so much energy—it’s like I’m on steroids,” joked Dubreuil. And despite the pricey tags found at The Webster, LHD’s price point is rather accessible, ranging from $45 to $895. Dubreuil is able to keep the price down by manufacturing the clothing in China, which is a bit of a full circle moment—she is fluent in Mandarin, having studied it as a teenager.

Those heading to Miami for Art Basel—especially black-clad New Yorkers—might want to swipe up some of LHD’s colorful pieces ahead of time. The collection is available starting today online at www.lhd.us and in all of The Webster boutiques.
