What: Louis Vuitton’s first wireless earphones, created in partnership with luxury audio brand Master & Dynamic.
Who: Louis Vuitton, you know. They’re amazing. But you might not be as familiar with Master & Dynamic. The New York-based audio brand was launched in May of 2014 with the aim of creating high-quality audio equipment that was chic and built to last. Almost immediately, the brand was picked up by Opening Ceremony in New York and Colette in Paris, with the Apple Store following shortly after. Next came collaborations with Proenza Schouler, the Rolling Stones, and YouTube. And now, with Louis Vuitton.
Why: Let’s be honest, AirPods are starting to feel a little stale these days. The functionality is great, but since the holidays, when it seems like everyone and their mother got a pair, they’ve become a bit too ubiquitous. These are special, though. The sound quality is fantastic (as with all of Master & Dynamic’s products), and they look freaking cool! They come in four colorways: red, black, and white monogram, and yellow and blue LV stripes. They can last up to 3.5 hours on a single charge and the chic little case can power the earphones for a total of 10 hours. The volume is adjustable directly on one of the earbuds, so there’s no need to reach for your phone. And, of course, it pairs with all Bluetooth devices, as well as Louis Vuitton’s Tambour Horizon smart watch.
