The online luxury retail site Shop-Hers.com is having a beautiful day thanks to an investment from Bono in their latest round of funding. It’s another endorsement for the growing site that was created in November 2012 by model Jaclyn Shanfeld and a team of e-commerce experts.

Edun’s new creative director, Danielle Sherman, made a splash this NYFW when she debuted a drastically revamped vision for the brand. Ali Hewson and Bono’s label, which is owned by LVMH and founded with the charitable intentions of not just donating proceeds of sales to countries in need of aid, but actually employing locals to develop the clothing, thereby creating jobs in the region, specifically Africa. In the past, the brand hasn’t had much visibility beyond being a “do good” brand with celebrity backing. But this season, things have changed.

Edun has poached T by Alexander Wang’s design director, Danielle Sherman, as its new creative director. Sherman succeeds former Edun creative director Sharon Wauchob, who joined the company in 2009 in a consulting capacity and was later named creative director in January 2010. Wauchob is leaving after six seasons to focus on her eponymous collection.
