Meghan and Harry Are Coming to America

by Charles Manning

The newly minted Duke and Duchess of Sussex already have one royal tour under their belts and are planning an official visit to Australia and New Zealand in October, but that’s not all! According to Us Weekly, the pair is planning a trip to the US in 2019.

“They are so excited to head to the U.S.,” a palace insider told the magazine, noting it will be the couple’s first trip to the States since their wedding in May. “Meghan is looking forward to introducing Harry to everything she loves about the U.S.”

Although it is still much too early for any sort of official itinerary, rumor has it the couple is planning to visit New York, Washington, D.C., and California in the hopes of “solidify[ing] ties between the U.K. and the U.S.”

In San Francisco, the plan is, apparently, to “meet with CEOs and female tech entrepreneurs to encourage their involvement in the industry.” There is also a chance that they will head to Chicago to visit the Obama Foundation and there is even talk of them making their way to Canada at some point, turning the trip into a full-blown North American tour.

Before all that takes place, however, Markle is apparently planning an unofficial solo trip back to the US to see her many friends and family in New York and LA. No doubt her father’s side of the family will have a lot to say about that if and when the trip actually takes place. In fact, they’re probably lining up the paid interviews as we speak. Poor Meghan. Heavy is the head that wears the crown, as they say. Heavy is the head.
