Jason Wu Spring/Summer 2018

Jason Wu reminded everyone that there is still major American talent choosing to show at New York Fashion Week and he is one of them. Wu’s collection wowed in a season that saw the designer loosening up a little. Evening wear came in jersey and cropped and cut-out striped cotton dresses and pantsuits felt youthful without sacrificing the sophistication that Wu is known for. There were sleek and sexy takes on suiting and ruching on slip dresses felt like an update to the pervasive trend. Slits and crops were done in all the right places and there was more than one seriously desirable trench. Wu combined his Resort and Spring collection on the runway this season and the time it allowed him paid off.
