The Guggenheim Gala is getting glitzier. Christian Dior will be sponsoring the annual social event on November 6th and 7th. On hand to make the announcement today: Dior’s creative director, Raf Simons; director of the Guggenheim, Richard Armstrong; and board member, Jennifer Stockman.

A first look of the Twilight actor as the new face of Christian Dior’s men fragrance was unveiled at a Soho House party in Hollywood. Naturally someone got on their phone, took a shot, and put it up on Instagram. Me first! Me first! Me first! Dior has confirmed a partnership with the actor, but would not comment to E! on the photos.

Conde Nast International’s chairman and chief Jonathan Newhouse has come out in support of John Galliano, telling Vogue UK that they’ve developed a tight friendship since that little incident a few years ago. “After he left Christian Dior and went into recovery from his illness, our relationship deepened and became a friendship,” he explains.

Last night Julianne Moore owned up to her shoe debacle on last week’s red carpet at Cannes on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon. The actress poked fun at her own fashion mishap, dubbing the incident “toemaggedon.” Moore’s pinky toes didn’t quite fit in her silver strappy sandals that she wore with her Christian Dior gown.

The race is on! Raf Simons debuted his Resort 2014 collection on a rainy day in Monaco on Saturday. The location was fitting not only, because of Monsieur Dior’s long relationship with Monaco maven, Princess Kelly, but also due to Simons’ own relationship with the country’s current fashion plate, Princess Charlene. What’s more? The collection was also about the speed of life and debuted a series of zig zag patterns and assym hemlines to highlight the theme so appropos of a Principality whose history is steeped in the raceways.

In the midst of his super secretive gig with Oscar de la Renta, John Galliano exited a Paris courtoom today with another small victory towards his road to redemption. The news? The French Labor Relations Court ruled that they were qualified to hear the designer’s side of the story, which is bound to come out in his $15 million lawsuit against his former employer Christian Dior and namesake label John Galliano. This is just the first step in what will undoubtedly be a long battle. Galliano’s lawyer, Chantal Giraud-Gaver, said it could take years due to a back-up of cases at the court.
