Amber Swim is making waves in the global swimwear industry. The swimwear and resort wear brand—which recently celebrated their five-year anniversary—stands out as the epitome of understated sophistication. Now, the Singapore-based brand is excited to announce they’re expanding into the US market. “The US has always been a huge market we have aspired towards,” said the brand’s founder and designer, Diana Chan. “American women need wearable, comfortable swimwear with fit and quality fabric being a top priority.”
Chan adds: “Since expanding to the US last year, we’ve seen huge growth and had the pleasure of meeting repeat customers who love our swimsuits. Besides their rose gold hardware, another one of Amber Swim’s signatures is their velvet accents. “Velvet accents were a standout design element for us in the early days, and even now,” explains Chan. “Many women are pleasantly surprised when they spot and feel the velvet accents.” Amber Swim has a velvet bust band on our Dylan two-piece, and a velvet ruched center in their Gabriella balconette top. “The velvet gives the swimsuit a little stylish edge and elevation, with its lustrous shine and luxe feel,” she said. “As the brand grows, we’ve continued to experiment with different fabrics which inspire us, including our signature crinkle, satin and shimmer fabrics. We like that there is something for every woman in every moment in her life.
The brand is inspired by Chan’s own personal journey of being “a single, fun-loving, sleepless corporate girly summering in Ibiza” when she founded the brand, to becoming a mother of two children, “who has to struggle with both a toddler and a baby in the pool.” Amber Swim is a boutique label with small-batch production. The brand’s aim is not to blindly manufacture thousands of swimsuits for the masses, but rather, to create thoughtful, elevated swimwear and resort wear.
“Our expansion to the US allows us the space to do this, and to find our own little world of women,” said Chan.

The brand recently launched their new shimmer collection, which includes the Camille, a two-toned bikini that reflects the warm hues of a sunset by the sea. “For our next collections, we are working on a wider range of swimwear and resort wear in our signature fabrics, including bodysuits and comfortable rugby shirts for busy vacation days and romantic and feminine styles in body-flattering fits with standout custom hardware that evoke languid moments under the sun,” she said. “We want to stay true to our design ethos – we created the brand for everyday women in their daily rounds, to create swimsuits which just work for women in all their seasons,” said Chan.
