This week, we appear to be the source for all things Fire Island, so let’s keep that rolling along…The Ruffian’s Brian Wolk and Claude Morais were recently on the isle of Fire and write in with their experience staying at Cherry Grove’s famed Belvedere Hotel and (naturally!) give us a history lesson. Happy gay pride!

She’s back! Kate Moss serves as both the face and the muse in Stuart Weitzman’s gorgeous Fall campaign, shot by her pal Mario Testino. In a statement, the brand explains how she inspired them: “While Moss’s style has been inspirational and aspirational for years, her edgy aesthetic resonates now more than ever as fall runways teemed with ’90s-inspired looks reminiscent of her personal style. Since Moss was an originator of this aesthetic, Stuart Weitzman decided to use her “perfectly imperfect look†as the creative inspiration for the campaign.”

With all the big news coming out of D.C. this week, who could have anticipated that Michelle Obama was going to steal the show? The fashion-conscious first lady activated her very own Instagram account under the handle @michelleobama and has already captured in an array of lust-worthy outfits. Never mind that #FLOTUS has been trekking through Africa, she’s managed to choose chic get-ups and update her account, in addition to meeting with local students and artists.

With the launch of Rebecca Minkoff Denim, the reigning queen of handbags has introduced the latest cult-worthy item to the masses. The designer was on hand last night at her just opened New York flagship store on Greene Street in SoHo to celebrate. Attendees, including The Man Repeller’s Leandra Medine and Coco Rocha, were encouraged to graffiti the walls, in what might be the first combination denim pop-up shop and “Demolition†party. Guests checked out the five denim styles, all named after NYC streets, while enjoying the jams of DJ Kiss.

Attention, action flick and/or Channing Tatum fans out there? Last night, Columbia Pictures, The Cinema Society, and Bulova hosted the NYC premiere of White House Down at the Ziegfeld Theatre. Adoring fans lined the streets around the theatre; the truly dedicated even rocked “Team Channing†shirts. The evening kicked off with an award-winning entrance by Jamie Foxx (who plays President James Sawyer in the film) arriving police-escort-and-secret-service-clad in the Presidential Limo modeled after the one in the film (bullet holes and all).

Anna Wintour shocked the world today by Tweeting on @VogueMagazine and her Tweet was all kinds of sweet. As we’re sure you’ve heard by now, a not-so-little thing called DOMA was killed today in the Supreme Court and California’s Prop 8 appeal was dismissed which has caused happy dances from coast to coast including the 4 Times Square offices. Wintour took to the Twitterverse to dictate, uh, write: “Today’s rulings are a big step forward for all Americans striving to achieve equality. I couldn’t be happier or more proud. —A.W.” #weconcur
