You’ve heard about fashion’s finest brands taking their wares over to China. But this time, it’s a Chinese brand making its Stateside launch. Bosideng, a lifestyle menswear brand known for its tailoring and suiting, opened a pop-up shop at the Union Square outpost of menswear store Rothmans. Bosideng was founded in East China by Dekang Gao in 1976 with 11 of Kao’s fellow farmers, eight used family sewing machines, and a bicycle.

Rothman’s has been around for as long as we can remember, but the Union Square men’s store recently moved to a new location exactly one block north to a bigger (and drastically cooler) space in the site of the former Alkit Pro camera store. The new location is welcoming denim and leather brand Andrew Marc for a special pop-up shop within the store.
