The 20- to 30-something jetsetting girls like front row attendees Tatiana Casiraghi, Miroslava Duma, Elena Perminova (the 26-year-old wife of billionaire Russian media mogul Alexander Lebedev), and French actress Solène Hébert, who recently had a cameo in Jalil Lespert’s Yves Saint Laurent biopic, will have the legs and the figures to wear Valli’s slew of ultra-short party dresses.

Aurélie Filippetti, the French culture and communications minister, adorned Aghion with the red medal, while praising her modernization of prêt-à -porter as we know it today.

After a few construction bumps, Carven has officially opened the doors to their first U.S. boutique in Soho at 83 Mercer St. The 1,636 square foot space will be home to the brand’s women’s and men’s RTW and accessories. Creative director Guillaume Henry worked with French architect Eric Chevallier on the boutique, complete with furnishings developed exclusively for the brand by French design house Domeau & Peres.

L’Officiel is adding a new talent to the upper rungs of its masthead. The French glossy has tapped Frédérique Dedet as editor-in-chief at the title. Dedet joins the magazine from Point de Vue, a French title that follows the European royals scene.
