This month the brand is launching a limited edition “Surf Shack” collection inspired by the warm waters of Malibu to Australia’s Gold Cost and the chilly Atlantic in Biarritz. The collection will feature 12 women’s pieces and 16 men’s pieces with looks like a pastel yellow maxi dress, multi-colored striped bikini, or a gingham blazer for women to fuschia and blue swimshorts, a pair of white roll up pants with a surfboard print and a chambray zip anorak for men.

WHAT: Lichtenstein Dish Set by Barneys
WHY: Although the late artist, Roy Lichtenstein was famous for his Pop art paintings, he also produced other pieces like this dish set based on his 1966 series, Dishes. In partnership with Barneys the Art Production Fund and The Roy Lichtenstein Foundation, Barneys has created a series of must-have items from beach balls and towels to homeware items like glasses based on his Paper Cup series to the above dish set. From each sale, Barneys will donate 25 percent to the Art Production Fund. Now that’s something to dish about!

Surf’s up! Last night, Tommy Hilfiger celebrated the launch of a limited edition “Surf Shack” capsule collection and collaboration with Art Production Fund at No. 8 in Manhattan. Artists Lola Montes Schnabel, Richard Phillips, Scott Campbell, Gary Simmons, and Raymond Pettibon were all asked to apply their talents to design a limited-edition set of surfboards that were on display at Amy Sacco’s clubhouse.

The party was poppin’ at Barneys last night! The luxury retailer unveiled their Roy Lichtenstein and Barneys limited edition collection in collaboration with the Art Production Fund. Thanks to the partnership of the late pop-artist’s wife, Dorothy Lichtenstein, Barneys created a series of exclusive products that includes everything from beach towels and frisbees to tablewear inspired by the artist’s famous paintings.
