Halston Heritage will not be stopped! The brand announced today that three new stores are scheduled to open in the U.S. by March. Ambitious much? They’ll first be setting up a shop with a two-story, 4,400-square-foot flagship on Madison Avenue at 83rd St., followed by two 3,000 square-foot locations in Los Angeles at The Beverly Cetner and another in Troy, Michigan.

Gorgeous gals Ajak Deng, Emily Senko, and Grace Mahary attended a private dinner to celebrate the launch of the debut collection by Marissa Webb last night at Barneys Madison Avenue store. We’ve given our body language expert the day off, but if this shot is any indication, looks like Ms. Webb is having the best time evah.
Danish mod and DJ extraordinaire Chloe Nørgaard is the new face of BLK DNM, where Swede Johan Lindeberg holds court. She’s featured in a series of edgy black and white photos (we dig!) sporting nothing but a leather jacket. “Sometimes being a model is hard because everyone around you is creative,” said Nørgaard. “So I rebeled and dyed my hair blue.” Whatever works, love.
Blackberry has announced Alicia Keys as their “global creative director” today because…Why not? At a press event in Manhattan this morning where the new BB10 was unveiled, she and CEO Thorsten Heins promised to “work closely” with developers, retailers, and the entertainment industry to promote the phone. Because we all know that when choosing our phones, the all important Alicia Keys endorsement is law.
Alexander Wang somehow managed to get the legend that is Bon Qui Qui out of retirement to come work for his flagship store. How’d that fare? Giiiiirl! The “experience” was documented in this sure to be viral video that has made our morning. Don’t miss the cameos by Alessandra Ambrosio, Simon Doonan, and Natasha Lyonne. Nice to see you again, Qui!
Nicole Kidman is a vision in a strapless embroidered dress in crepe from Erdem’s Spring 2013 collection. This look will probably go down a wee better than Sienna Miller’s recent Erdem dress from the Golden Globes. (We still maintain it wasn’t that bad!) Nic was in Sydney today to attend the AACTA Awards. That’s essentially the Golden Globes of Australia honoring the best in Oz TV and film.

Nicholas Kirkwood just garnered another layer of industry cred to add to his glowing rep: The designer took home the Birtish Fashion Council/Vogue Fashion Fund award in London this evening. The designer beat out a talented group of designers including Mary Katrantzou, Peter Pilotto, Emilia Wickstead and Roksanda Ilincic to score the accolade. The award allows for Kirkwood to benefit from a bespoke business program and senior-level mentors that will aid his business over the next 18-months. If the past is any indication of what Kirkwood has in store, Christopher Kane, who was the second recepient to receive the award, was recently acquired by fashion behemoth PPR. Yet another step forward in Kirkwood’s rapidly growing biz and he may have some big shoes to fill in his future, if his predecessors are any indication. Bonne chance!
