Singer Sky Ferreira covers Miss Vogue Australia and tells them her ugly duckling to swan story. “When I was in ninth grade, I was getting told every day how ugly I was,” she reveals. “The other kids would find something wrong with me and they would bully me about it; it really gave me a complex. It [modeling] was the first time someone embraced all the weird stuff about me. I was always told that my gapped teeth were funny and my upper lip was too big, then there were my dark circles and my pale skin. Once I started modeling, these were seen as a good thing and that was cool.” Ferreira’s debut album drops on March 17th.
