What’s the best way to test the retail waters before going all brick-and-mortar in a new city? As the bright folks at Michael Stars can attest, try a four-wheeled approach prior to setting up shop: the pitch-parfait basics label is parking its goods through New York, where the brand is considering setting up a retail outpost, in a seriously spiffy “mobile curbside boutique,” aka a custom-designed truck. The movable shop is tricked out with a skylight and outfitted in crisp white interiors and blond wood. Find out where they’re headed next by following @michaelstarsinc on Instagram. Today from 4 to 7 p.m., blogger Natalie Suarez of Natalie Off Duty will be styling shoppers in the brand’s wear-incessantly striped linen/cotton Ts, breezy mesh pullovers, slouchy V necks, and tux-striped shorts. New Yorkers can catch (Michael) Stars on wheels through Tuesday, and on June 5 to 20, the truck will mosey around L.A.
