(NEW YORK) Fast fashion retail giant Uniqlo is getting into the groove with designer Celia Birtwell. Her trippy patterns will appear on everything from totes, t-shirts, dresses, tunic vests, and jeggings. To recap, Birtwell was a textile designer whose prints defined the look of the sixties and seventies. She and then-husband and fellow designer, Ossie Clark, dressed the icons of the decade like The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix and The Rolling Stones. After a hiatus from fashion, Birtwell returned to the industry with a rock-solid collection for Topshop in 2006, which reportedly sold out in mere minutes. The collection for Uniqlo launches March 21 in the U.K. Perfect that click-ready perch in front of the comp now in prep!
