Tommy Hilfiger Taps Zendaya For New Partnership

by Eddie Roche

Tommy Hilfiger announced a partnership with superstar Zendaya today. She’s set to become their new global women’s ambassador and co-design a TommyXZendya collection to be released worldwide in Spring 2019.  Hilfiger recently collaborated with Gigi Hadid on four hugely successful capsule collections and has partnered with Formula One superstar Lewis Hamilton on a Fall 2018 collection. The brand has also recently worked with Hailey Baldwin and Winne Harlow as brand ambassadors.

“I love to collaborate with people who are passionate about making their dreams a reality and who inspire the next generation to do the same,” said Tommy Hilfiger in a statement. “Zendaya has become a global icon, using fashion to make bold statements while always staying true to herself. Our capsule collection will fuse her eclectic style with the Americana spirit of our brand.”

Zendaya’s breakout role was on the Disney Channel sitcom, Shake It Up, and she’s since appeared in the blockbusters Spider-Man: Homecoming and The Greatest Showman. Her red carpet looks have drawn attention since partnering with stylist Law Roach, who credits the performer with his success.

“Fashion is more than just wearing cool clothes,” said Zendaya in today’s release. “It’s a way to celebrate self-expression and individuality, which is extremely empowering. This is why I am proud to partner with Tommy Hilfiger.”

The see-now buy now collection will launch in early 2019 with the 22-year-old appearing in the campaign. No word on whether Zendaya will be walking the Hilfiger runway come February.
