Calling all high schoolers impacted by Hurricane Sandy! A fairytale prom is the overall objective, isn’t it? Rent the Runway can’t make Prince Charming appear, alas, but they’re giving one high school a dream prom. Today through March 15th, New York high schools will have the opportunity to submit their schools for the ultimate prom experience. What does the winning, spruced-up prom experience entail? Students will enjoy a VIP styling party courtesy of Lancôme, Drybar, and Men’s Wearhouse, where they will undergo sufficient prom king and queen transformation. In addition, the prom venue will be transformed with elaborate décor styled by My Fair Wedding’s Tutera, who will also host the prom. Forget that local DJ! Students can expect a surprise celebrity performance to keep them dancing all night long (or at least until curfew). On March 25th, three finalists will be announced as chosen by Rent the Runway’s Prom Committee: CEO Jennifer Hyman, president Jennifer Fleiss, fashion director Lucy Sykes Rellie, Teen Vogue EIC Amy Astley, and Tutera.
