A.Z. ARAUJO: A.Z. Araujo, CEO
How did you get your start designing swimwear?
I started assisting at NYC fashion houses, and I began to get the urge to start a collection of swim. Being from Rio, it was something I always thought about.

Where’s your next beach getaway?
After Miami, I’m off to Brazil to be with family.

What’s your personal preference when it comes to donning a swimsuit?
I’m a Speedo guy, all the way.

Hardest part about prep for your show?
Prepping is always a little crazed, because we bring our office from New York to Miami for two weeks. But my team is excellent, and we get it done.

What’s your beach snack?
Champagne and fruit.
Showing on Monday, July 21st at 7 p.m. at Oasis

GOTTEX: Keren Gasner, head of design
What’s the story behind your new collection?
The 2015 collection is divided into four leading inspiration stories: Rainbow Mix, Where the Wild Things Are, Jewels of the Sea, and Enchanted Bloom.

What’s your swim stroke?
Floating on a pool mattress.

What’s your favorite poolside drink?
Depends on my mood, but it can be anything from sangria to beer.

How many bikinis do you own?
Over 30, but most of the time I end up wearing my favorite black triangle-top bikini.

Which model are you loving right now?
Bar Refaeli.

How are your surfing skills?
Not good, but one day I’ll have time to learn!
Showed Sunday, July 20th at 5:30 p.m. at The Raleigh Pool

PROFILE BY GOTTEX & PROFILE BLUSH BY GOTTEX: Michal Weinberg, head of design
Tell us about your most recent collection.
Profile Blush has three trends—Eastern Lore, Beach Girl, and Cheeky—while Profile has four trends: black and white geometrics, party-time sorbets, ocean blues, and dramatic ethnics.

What’s your workout?
I was raised by the sea, so I’m a born swimmer. I run to clear my head and take Pilates lessons.

Go-to beach nosh?
Watermelon with feta cheese.

Pick one: South Beach or the Design District?
South Beach, all the way.

What’s your favorite bikini of all time?
Brigitte Bardot’s floral bikini that she wore at the Cannes Film Festival in 1952, just before her debut in All About Eve.

How are your surfing skills?
I come from a family of surfers, and they’re still trying to teach me.
Showed Sunday, July 20th at 5 p.m. at The Raleigh Pool

LILIANA MONTOYA: Liliana Montoya, designer  and founder
What detail can be found throughout your collection?
My signature gold heart ornament adorns most of the pieces, as the heart is the universal symbol of passion.

Where’s your next beach getaway?
La Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Strangest place you’ve ever worn a bikini?
In the mountains.

Which celebs would you love to wear your designs?
Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie, and Gisele Bündchen, because I admire them as women and as professionals.

Do you have a beach diet?
I don’t eat carbs, but I love eating protein, vegetables, and fruits.
Showing Monday, July 21st at 8 p.m. at Cabana Grande

INDAH: Libby DeSantis, Owner and designer
What was the inspiration for your collection?
Jambo Zuri, which means “hello beautiful”! The collection is a fashion safari across Africa!

How did you become a swimsuit designer?
I started with a fully sequined wedding bikini in 1999, and after that I was hooked on designing.

Strangest place you’ve ever worn a bikini?
I had my Maya top on last year in Egypt when we went inside the Pyramids! It was under my shirt, though, so I’m not sure if that counts.

What is your beach beauty regimen?
I don’t have one, but I just try to keep myself clean, because Bali is pretty dirty.
