Industry vet Ward Simmons has joined Baccarat USA as the head of marketing and public relations. He will report to Jim Shreve, president at Baccarat USA. Additionally Wilkin Cabrera has been promoted to marketing and communications supervisor. Cabrera will report to Simmons and will be responsible for press outreach, events, and executing the US marketing strategy.
Simmons comes to the company with 25 years of luxury retail experience. He was the vice president of marketing, advertising, public relations, and visual for Hugo Boss in the Americas, and was the former director of global communications at Carolina Herrera and director of flagship stores at Ralph Lauren. “My life is like that TV show from the ’70s, Green Acres,” Simmons told us. “I’m part farmer, part New Yorker…but the reality is, I’m more like Eva Gabor. For the past year, I’ve been renovating our family farmhouse, and learning how to be a farmer in Kentucky. I’m not a very good farmer, but I did look good on a tractor. I’m thrilled to be a part of the Baccarat team.”
