Valentino Plans Fifth Avenue Flagship

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Valentino just scored prime real estate in Midtown. The luxury brand signed a 15-year lease at 693 Fifth Avenue to house its largest flagship store to date. The upscale space, nestled in the former Takashimaya building, is comprised of 20,000 square feet and three selling floors, which will display ready-to-wear, fragrance, and footwear with an emphasis on accessories. Architect David Chipperfield will be working closely with creative directors Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pierpaolo Piccioli on the interior aesthetic that will model the concept stores in Milan and Paris.

Midtown isn’t the only new shopping outpost popping up in the U.S. A Madison Avenue Valentino boutique, complete with a VIP salon, is slated to open in June. One month later, an accessories store at The Forum Shops at Caesars in Las Vegas will open its doors along with a second store at Las Vegas’ Shops. Later this year, expect another unit to bow in San Francisco at 105 Grant Street, carrying the full men’s collection.
