It all started with a joke. Back in 2017, Nikola Maharajh was trying to design funny underwear that he could wear. He didn’t realize that this would become the stepping stone for him to become an entrepreneur that provides people with comfort and design in their intimate wear. “When trying to find how to design the underwear, I stumbled across the fabric I use and wondered why no other company was using this fabric. It was soft, durable, and eco-friendly,” Nikola said. He was testing different brands of underwear and always found something wrong the the fit, fabric, durability or comfort. It took Nikola nearly three years to put together a perfect design that didn’t lack any of those qualities. In 2019, he made a breakthrough. Now, he can proudly say that he’s created a design that boasts eco-friendly material without compromising style and comfort.
Launching A New, Well-Loved Line
Just recently, Unity Underwear Co. launched their new women’s line and received great feedback for the fit, the softness, and overall feel. But even before the launch of their women’s line, the brand’s men’s line received amazing feedback. “We have a nearly 100% rate of switching over customers from the first time they try the underwear. The majority of our customers have gotten more than one order,” Nikola shared. This upcoming year, Unity Underwear Co. is planning to grow its sales for the women’s line to draw as much attention to the product as possible. “We want to grow this line further to offer different fits of women’s underwear. We have numerous other designs we want to release once we gain a big enough women’s customer base,” Nikola said. He added that he believes that giving the best customer service goes a long way. He takes the time to get proper customer feedback and find out what they like and don’t like. He even helps them make their purchases. “It is very important to listen, take notes, and learn. As a new and a growing company, we want to grow healthily and grow a strong community of people who are always happy with us and our mission,” the founder of Unity Underwear Co. said.
Giving Back To The Community
One of the key selling points of Unity Underwear Co. is its dedication to using eco-friendly materials. Almost everything they use from the fabric to the mailers to the packing tape is eco-friendly. But aside from using material that’s safe for the environment, the brand also has initiatives that benefit others in the community. Nikola shared that they always try to give some money back to charity. Starting January, Unity Underwear Co. will launch a program that allows each customer to pick which charity they want to donate money to with their purchase.
