Tod’s Reopens London Boutique, Unveils New Bag with Saira Hunjan

by Paige Reddinger

Tod’s unveiled the reopening of its Old Bond Street boutique in London yesterday. Not surprisingly, it brought out royalty and nobility, including Princess Alia Al Senussi, Lady Kitty Spencer, and Lady Violet Manners, to name a few. What may surprise you is that in conjunction with the unveiling of the revamped boutique, Tod’s launched a new bag with London’s famed tattoo artist Saira Hunjan, who’s known for inking London’s A-listers like Kate Moss, Jude Law, and Sam Taylor-Johnson. Tod’s invited Suki Waterhouse, another big-name Brit, to celebrate the new bag with Tod’s and Hunjan. The Tod’s Tattoo bag features Hunjan’s needlework designs on Tod’s luxurious leather Double T bag style, which will be available in limited-edition in Tod’s boutiques beginning this December. They can also be pre-ordered now at Tods.com.

As for the new boutique on 2-5 Old Bond Street, it has more than doubled in size to 6,000-square-feet and over three floors with a signature Vacchetta leather-wrapped steel atrium. The store will sell the brand’s full menswear and womenswear collections including, of course, its famous accessories and driving shoes. It will also feature limited-edition collections, including a set of five unique Tattoo Bags, and special customization services. By the end of this year, Tod’s will have five boutiques in the United Kingdom as well as shop-in-shops at Harrods and Selfridges, and that’s in addition to the luxury Italian brand’s 250 stores worldwide.
