The Runthrough Receives $1.2 Million In New Round Of Funding

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) Digital showroom The Runthrough just received $1.2 million in funding led by the New York Angels, a group of 75 individually accredited angel investors. Founded in 2011 by former W magazine accessories editors, Meggan Crum and Mandy Tang, The Runthrough acts as a virtual showroom that neatly compiles product from ready-to-wear and accessories brands so that fashion editors can simply request their product pulls in one forum the way a consumer would shop say, Net-A-Porter. The idea is to eliminate the hundreds of emails and back-and-forth communication between editors and publicists that often makes the job so tedious.

The site also aims to do away with the age-old task of sifting through lookbooks and organizing flash drives and PDF’s, as well as taking care of some of the red tape involved in arranging messengers. The members-only site for editors and stylists features over 100 designers and brands from Michael Kors and DKNY to Pamela Love and Kara Ross. Once they get everyone on board, this will likely be the go-to for editorial requests so its no wonder they’re raking in the funding. Bravo!
