The Hollywood Reporter Debuts Fashion Platform Pret-A-Reporter

by The Daily Front Row

(NEW YORK) There’s a new fashion source in Tinseltown. Today, The Hollywood Reporter is rolling out Pret-A-Reporter, a beauty and fashion platform that goes beyond red carpet dish. The site promises insider profiles, conversations with designers, plus a look behind the creative minds that create the wardrobe for all facets of the entertainment industry.

Current staffers from The Hollywood Reporter and their online component, THR.com, will spearhead the online initiative. Erin Weinger, THR’s online style editor, will lead the editorial team while culture editor Degen Pener will be responsible for overseeing the site as a whole. Senior style writer Merle Ginsberg, style editor and cover shoot stylist Carol McColgin, online contributing editor Stephanie Chan and costume design specialist Elizabeth Snead will round out the Pret-A-Reporter masthead. As the inaugural guest editor, Zac Posen will be providing content to the site for the rest of November. Expect to see snaps from his Instagram account, candid interviews, and a peek into his life.

Coverage on the site will be distributed between sponsored and unsponsored, as Pret-A-Reporter teams up with Reward Style to provide content that is directly linked to retailers and advertisers alike. This includes a partnership with The Fancy, offering a monthly FancyBox filled with beauty treats and accessories.

Word of Pret-A-Reporter’s launch first spread during New York Fashion Week, when Leslie Fremar held an intimate dinner for the soft launch at at Omar’s La Ranita. Attendees of THR’s second annual ‘Power of Style’ luncheon on October 16th were also told about the new site  (via boxes of macaroons).
